i'm having an awful dilemma that is stressing me out but it's probably kind of weird...
my main in ffxiv is a lalafell. she's small and cute and i love her, and her gremlin energy matches mine. i feel like, if i were to represent the concept of "me" in game, this is it! even people i know have told me that i just have lalafell energy.
(a few pictures of her for reference, including a very crunchy picture of my silly glam)
i love being a lalafell. i feel like there's not loads of us in endgame, especially not high end content. i wanna be an inspiration to all the little lalafells out there that you can! do!! it!!!
so what's the dilemma, you might ask??
well, i have this OC, gemini. she's based on the original design for my warrior of light, and she has a twin, who is played by someone else in game, and they're miqo'te. i have done 99% of msq as miqo'te, and the small bit i did as viera i felt weird about, because my msq character is my OC! who is a miqo'te! not viera, and not lalafell.
i was thinking about trying this last bit of msq coming up in 7.56 as lalafell just to see how it would feel, but it honestly makes me sad to think about doing it as anything but miqo'te with my OC. but i can't afford to be swapping back and forth between miqo and lala every time msq comes around!
so i've kind of decided my options are...
1: just stay lala. do msq as lala, maybe make up a new lala oc to get invested in, try not to get sad about not using my OC design in msq
2: swap back to miqo'te, probably permanently or for a very long time, and just try not to get sad that i'm not raiding as a lalafell, or
3: get my alt, who is a miqo'te with my OC's name, caught up with msq by the time evercold releases, and use her for msq, while leaving my main as lalafell for raiding and dungeons and everything else, and just be really sad that i don't have all my glams and mounts on my alt, and also getting her caught up would be extremely time consuming, because she's not even done ifrit yet iirc.
anyway. strange problem to have ig. if only i was rich, or i could freely swap between lala and miqo....
i feel like i am the only one who is bothered by the molasses flood and doesn't find it funny. when i learned about it, descriptions of what happened to people were included and it sounded truly horrific and now when i see references to it, that's all i can think about.
i should not dread updating an app. i should look forward to it! i should be excited to see what good changes they've made from listening to the community! instead, i weep when i accidentally update anything because now i am forced to see what horrors they've wrought, in an attempt to squeeze a few more dollars out of users for their shareholders who don't even know what the app does.
