Penelope Epithets
ἀμύμων (amymon) - Blameless. This represents her loyalty to King Odysseus, and was often used to contrast her with her cousin, Queen Clytemnestra.
πινυτή (pinyte) - Prudent. "Acting with or showing thought and care for the future." Daniel Mendelsohn translates this as "clear-thinking". This is used to show that Queen Penelope uses her wits to figure out her problems, like her trick with the unweaving of the loom.
περίφρων (periphron) - Wise/sage.
ἐχέφρων (Ekhephron) - Sensible, discreet. Again, referencing her trickery, in which only her husband matched her.
