Today was a good sketching day. I did about 5 drawings, and I feel like I loosened my brain up a little. Sketching an idea always gives me more ideas, sometimes completely different, sometimes along the same lines. I will be exploring this particular concept a little bit further in the future I think. . I have been hearing so many harrowing stories lately, from the news, podcasts...etc...and they make me feel so helpless. I wish I could help others with their pain, I wish I could help them heal and find peace, but I'm just a stranger on the Internet, and the best I can do is express our universal pains through art, and hope that that can help someone, anyone, not feel so alone. . On a lighter note, I am struggling to like this grey paper sketchbook, the paper is too thin to paint on, and the format is smaller than I'm used to, but I need to work through my sketchbook stock instead of buying new ones. I'd like to use up the small sketching paper ones I have, and I think it'll be good practice to work on smaller formats that I'm used to. Make me more flexible and all that jazz... .
