Gideon Gold – Did you attend college or university?

Yes indeed I did! I graduated from a Nazarene University (even though I’m not Nazarene, I just didn’t want to go to a big party school) with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts :) 

Grumpy – Ever been known by a different name?

Not really- I think at one point I considered going by my middle name because it was easier for me to say when I was a kid but I just never really committed to it.

Alice Jones – Do you paint, draw, or do anything else artistic?

All of the above! As I not so casually mentioned before, I have a degree in Fine Arts and mainly did drawing and painting while I was in school. I love doing ink drawings with crosshatching and watercolors. I’m still learning and improving so that hopefully I can be a full-time illustrator!!!

Henry Mills – Did you ever have to wear a school uniform?

Nope, one of the few benefits to public school!

Ariel – Do you have a collection of oddities?

YES!!!!! Teacups, teapots, empty apothecary bottles, old movie tickets, nice rocks I’ve found/bought, really old books, pamphlets and business cards from almost everywhere I’ve been out of state, and stray buttons. I’m basically a magpie with thumbs.

Granny – What’s your specialty entree that you cook really well?

I make pretty good French Toast and an excellent chocolate brownie for one!!!!

BUCKLE IN FOLKS THIS IS A LONG ONE.

–Picture it: Freshman year of college, I had a 7:50am class every single goddamn morning. I had to creep around like a cat burglar in my own room so my roommate wouldn’t throw a tantrum about how loudly I was eating my poptarts. Girls who were sleeping off a night at the nearby party school usually left me little presents in the communal bathroom for me to find like used half cooked ramen, k-cups, vomit that had mostly made it to the toilet and at least two clogged toilets on any given day of the year. Our dorm had been forced to evacuate for fire alarms in the middle of the night for three nights in a row because apparently no one can work a microwave properly after 11pm.

What is something you’d like to be remembered for? Making people laugh (and ugly laugh).

What is one thing you own that you’ve never get rid of? My pink baby blanket

What is the most embarrassing crush you’ve had? (Real or fictional) I don’t really have a specific crush in mind for this, but suffice to say that I am thoroughly embarrassed by the fact that I’ve been briefly infatuated with every boy who has ever been nice to me (and not asked me for help on his homework).

What is one of your favourite scents? Peonies

Is there a writer/artist that you emulate e.g. incorporate into your own style? John Tenniel probably- between his mad crosshatching skills and the fact he illustrated Alice in Wonderland it was kind of inevitable!

What’s one song that you could listen to every day for the rest of your life? It’s a three-way tie between Somebody to Love by Queen, Cloud Atlas Sextet for Orchestra, or Burn from Hamilton (I’ve literally listened to all three on repeat for several days before).

What’s your least favourite word? Worcestershire- the only word that I have absolutely no hope of ever pronouncing correctly.

Do you have a favourite trope that you could see play out over and over? Marriage of Convenience/Arranged Marriage no contest. I am absolute trash for tropes like this, any time, any place, any fandom.

What’s the one chore you don’t mind doing? Washing dishes!! I find it very soothing.

Do you like to go away on vacations or do you stay home? I generally stay home, but I don’t mind fairly short vacations that don’t include flying.

Is Valentine’s Day fun or overrated? Buying cheap candy on the 15th is fun :)
