lion-hearted
I struggled for a while to settle on Achilles’ design. In the end, I based it mainly on lions (particularly the Mapogo coalition) instead of his mother’s marine heritage. It reflects everything Thetis tried to erase from him: his mortality, his grounding in the human world. The lack of any marine influence emphasizes his earthbound nature, while his eyes, sharp and animal-like, suggest the trace of his divine side.
And also because he is usually spoken of metaphorically as a lion.
