Mukuro is used to much more violent, even crazier shit, and I truly think that her bringing a decapitated head and giving it to Angie like a mouse with a dead rat might make Angie step back and reassess what the hell she’s doing and her reasons for befriending people. Maybe…maybe we should stop leaning into the cult joke quite so much. Or Else.

Alternatively, in a Despair AU, Mukuro and Angie could work on some real horrifying Jataro-esque diorama. And that is also romance. In. Some way.

Peko/Kyoko

Look out boys we’ve got an enemies to lovers AU!!

Kyoko is hired to find the Kuzuryus for some reason. It doesn’t really matter why, but let’s say she’s helping Yasuhiro out by figuring out who holds his debt, currently. Or she got hired to figure out what happened with the Twilight Syndrome case. She’s got a beat on the Kuzuryus either way. In comes Peko, seemingly unconnected, offering assistance as a member of the same class. They team up. Only to reveal Peko was the Kuzuryus’ sword all along!! Who could’ve POSSIBLY predicted this (the whole fanfic reading audience and probably Kyoko pretty quickly but Peko thinks she’s slick)

The DYNAMIC. The using each other to their own ends in the case. The dual deceptions. The I am slowly falling in love with this other serious girl who wears braids and has difficulty opening up to others. The reveals!! The eventually uniting to fight against Junko, The True Villain. It’s all so DELICIOUS

Au where Jin asks Kyoko to investigate Sato’s murder and Kyoko decides to talk to work with the victim’s friend’s classmate so she has an inside source on the involved persons but Peko only decides to help to try and get Kyoko off Fuyuhiko’s back but then Kyoko figures out that Fuyuhiko got Peko to do it but by then they’ve already fallen in love and how could they possibly both continue now? Where do they go from here? They’re both so repressed and professional and they're on opposite sides of this case so how could their love ever truly be?
