Danny never really fit in anywhere when he was alive, and surprise surprise, he fit in even less when he was dead. He used to at least have Sam and Tuck -- pretty fitting that his only two friends were misfits themselves. But as far as Danny knew, he’d been the only misfit ghost around. Every other ghost he'd met had somewhere they belonged -- that club -- somewhere Danny didn’t want to step foot near again. Bottom line? Being dead was lonely. Or, it had been -- until he met Reggie.
Reggie and his friends were cool. Like -- cooler than Danny would have ever imagined himself being in life. Like -- cooler than coolness itself. And the weird part? They were also nice. Nice enough to invite Danny to one of their shows even though he probably made a total dork of himself when they first met. But hey -- he had to cut himself some slack; it wasn’t like the afterlife was brimming with opportunities to practice his people skills.
“You guys just get to do this all the time?” Danny asked Reggie after his set -- which was killer, by the way. “I mean -- there’s gotta be a catch, right? Or else that’s just too sweet a deal.”
they’ve been rehearsing for their next show alone ( with julie’s permission , of course ) , but that doesn’t stop them from sharing one of the many microphones in the studio as they sing , just like they do on stage . they’ve finished the song , but faces still hover close , for a short moment , luke’s eyes wide and doey before he leans just that little bit forward , presses a tiny kiss to reggie’s nose and finally pulls away , giggling all the while . // luke give @pehters a kiss !

the pen stills in his hand the moment reggie laid down, his bottom lip held tightly between his teeth to stifle his smile. that doesn’t last for long, however, and he lets out a laugh that probably jostles both of them more than he means to. ❛you’re the best desk i’ve ever had.❜ he closes the notebook slightly to get a better look at his friend. ❛does that mean i can literally write on your forehead? it’ll be a masterpiece.❜
