Peer Schmidt (1926 - 2010)
The loveable and modest actor was often cast in the roles of likeable, good-natured and sometimes shy men. With his distinctive voice he inter alia dubbed Marlon Brando ("A Streetcar Named Desire"), Rod Taylor ("The Time Machine"), Gerard Philippe and very often Jean-Paul Belmondo (for instance in "À bout de souffle")

In this two-part television movie "Tage der Rache" ("Days of Revenge") (1970) Peer Schmidt plays a rather unusual role. He plays the hardened London police officer Mitchell, whose little son has been kidnapped by a man whose life has been ruined by Mitchell, who falsely accused the man of rape.
