The image of Icarus and Moros is slowly slipping into the deepest reaches of my brain and hear me out HEAR ME OUT
Icarus died a tragic death, right? Either he got cocky and ignored his father's warning but seeing how he is in the game I can't help but think it's not hubris that lead to his death.
Maybe just maybe he was too giddy with the feeling and made a mistake. The fates decided to do that just because. They really said "he's going to feel so free, and then plummet to his death" just for shits and giggles.
And so Moros, Doom incarnate, would have been here to witness his death. To welcome him on the other side, after a tragic fall. Icarus had felt a presence while he was flying seconds before he realized the wings were melting, and doom was there, looking him straight in the eyes, a certain melancholy painted on his face. Icarus didn't have to ask, he knew that was Moros. He knew in an instant that he was going to die. And an instant later he accepted the embrace and fell to his death.
I like to think Icarus finally visits Mel at the crossroads (after some convincing) and he ends up meeting Moros there. And he remembers so vividly his presence like a cold embrace and a chill down his spine but at the time, compared to the heat of the sun and the wax melting down his back, it had almost been a welcome feeling.
Moros recognizes him too, surprisingly. Surely the embodiment of doom witnessed countless preordained deaths. Why was Icarus' special? Because he died chasing freedom, something Moros unknowingly yearned for. Of course he cared for the fates and their design, to great lengths but unadmittedly, he wondered what having the choice would be like, to be the one responsible for his own actions. And so witnessing this death... Icarus experiencing a freedom like no other, for it to be harshly taken from him. Doom couldn't help but feel remorse at such an outcome and so he remembered. He remembered the second that stretched into eternity as they stared each other down into mid air. He remembered embracing the mortal with his arms as he fell to his doom and accepted his fate.
And so when they meet again at the crossroads. Moros is surprised to see him almost whole, unlike all the other shades he had met, and so he grows curious. He eagerly asks MelinoΓ« about him and maybe will try to go out there to meet him and talk to him, maybe apologize somehow, maybe he feels guilty. I don't know there's a lot ot unpack there I need to rotate them into my brain like rotisserie chicken I have FEELINGS ABOUT THESE TWO!!! (and 3 if you count melinoe my girl has 2 hands for a reason) I think they're neat and I really wanna expand on their relationship they need to interact INEED THEM TO TALK

So when he fails at Weisshaupt I think that adds to his self lashing. He failed. He's not worth it. Hence his surprise when Caterina declares him first talon anyway! And now his second chance is The Oneβ’οΈ. The one he can't fail. Of course it's because the world's at stake but I think he takes his duty to the crows very seriously and that still plays into it a bit. So imagine his reaction when he kills Ghilan'nain, it's supposed to be a good omen. And what does that get him? His only true friend since Illario being emprisoned in the fade. Talk about a good omen,i'd be devastated.
Kavetham is so good as a duo, not even necessarily a ship but in a lot of aspects they go together so well.
Well first they have different world views one is realistic, the other idealistic, yada yada but what strikes me the most is the way they think and what they studied:
Alhaitham is a Haravatat scholar dealing with words and their meaning etc which relies heavily on subjectiveness. It's about interpretation, it's vague and not an exact science per se. It's about conveying emotions. But alhaitham himself is a very analytic and factual person. He's more interested in something being functional than beautiful. and it contradicts his field of study.
Meanwhile Kaveh is a Ksharewar scholar, studying technology and architecture in his case. Architecture is a very precise job, it needs a lot of data, it needs math and physics to make sure the house's not going to crumble. Yet, Kaveh is a very artistic person. He wants to make beautiful things, he wants to coordinate furniture etc. Which contradicts his field of study.
That's why I think they go amazingly well together. They each have the personality that usually goes well with the other's work/field of study. Alhaitham should be the one working in technology where being precise and data-oriented will make it easier for him. And kaveh should be the one working on words and their meaning and emotions since he's more in touch with esthetics. Basically they are the opposite but also they both are the other's missing part of some kind istg fkskjcjd I love them so much

ok I'm going to come out and say it and this might be a hot take but Caleb's cyborg fit..... I think the texture looks too much like leather, like it's something he's wearing. Skin tight suit yeah but still a suit. The curves are too natural, the movements too organic.

the way I've been thinking of kinich beating up kachina's bullies so bad, when they see her now they're scared kinich might be around. After the beating, they tried to approach her again, because why would that huitztlan guy be here? but then kinich comes out of the house a little after her and they just scamper away like a bunch of wet rags cowards.
Kinich got hired one time to beat up the bullies then Mualani having heard of that, hired him again to be Kachina's survival trainer and he really said "that's not a job anymore, that's a responsibility"
