he passed away. =(
A Letter from Me to You
I really just want to hug Jay right now. I've been crying on and off since I found out about Peatry last night and...wow. I can imagine the pain he must be in. People think dogs are "just pets" but they are way more than that. They become part of your family, your companion, someone you look forward to coming home to everyday; they cheer you up, make you smile when no one else can, and listen to you when you need a shoulder to lean on. They love you, and you love them. And after 11 years of companionship I know that Jay is pretty devastated by Peatry's death. He adored that little doggy, as did we all. Peatry was more than his pet; he was basically Jay's child. And because my dog is nine years old and only getting older, this really hits home.
To Peatry:
I never knew you and you never knew me, but I loved you little fella. You are actually the reason I started liking wiener dogs lol. I would always joke to my own dog about you and her having a play date! Maybe one day I'll get to meet you in heaven and play with you and feed you all of the cucumbers you like, then afterwards we can gossip about Jay and laugh at him. Until then, rest well. You were truly loved.
To Jay:
I love you. I know my words will probably never reach you, but I just want you to know that I support you and am here for you, even if I am halfway across the world. There is nothing I can say that will ease the pain in your heart. I know you lost someone who was important in your life. I also know how much you hate to show emotion, but it is okay to cry, it is okay to feel sad, it is okay to mourn. You're only human, and he was way more than "just a dog." Although he is not with you anymore, you know that he is in a better place with an owner who can love and take care of him like no other. He's okay, and soon you will be too. Stay strong baby.
R.I.P Peatry :( we'll miss you
