♡. 黛玉 — “listen,” cue a small pause as fingers immediately tucked a loose hair strand behind her ear before she continued, “it wasn’t even a party? like … okay, it was a party but it didn’t felt like one? everyone was awkward and it was just quiet. people were in groups and the music was so bad that i had to leave after 20 minutes of being there. i’m not kidding–” and she really wasn’t. it was literally the most boring party one could’ve imagined. her math classes would probably be much more entertaining than that, honestly. but then again, weylyn wasn’t much for partying. sure, she liked to get drunk sometimes but going to parties where she knew no one wasn’t quite ideal. maybe, maybe it would’ve been something else if yeonha came along but once again, she doubted that. that one party was just, in one word, damn hopeless. “you should take me to a good party because lately, i’ve only been to boring ones… or maybe i’m the boring one– who knows?”

nose scrunched and cheeks puffed out slightly, “it was really depressing, though. i went there all excited, thinking i’d have some fun and get away from my studies. ugh, i had made myself so pretty too, i’m mad,” crossing her arms over her chest, she then looked over at the other with a serious expression spread of her face, “you know what? you should take me out tonight to make up for the fact that i didn’t take you to that other party–”

she’s not mad or anything. on the verge of pouty, but not quite there yet, probably never finally, fully reaching such stage either. it’s a disappointment, the lack of an invite, though there’s nothing she can do about it now. over and done with, the party is no more, yeonha’s only just finding out it even happened. “you should’ve called me. i could’ve crashed it and hyped up the crowd simultaneously.” two birds with one stone, her confidence is suffocating. believe it or not, she was quite the party girl a few years back. once upon a time very touchy with everyone in the crowd, showing no shame, young and reckless, finding her way into clubs despite being underage. always going to the craziest gatherings, she knew the wrong people, the questionable kind, the ones her parents worried about. but it was beneficial, connections were made, there was always decisions, multiple bashes to choose from. it was wild and it was fun, her interest never dying out. 

she obviously still goes now sometimes. but she’s got a lack of intel, and no want to be close to people, to be touched whether it’s on purpose or purely accidental. “i’d have to try and find my old friends again if you want to go to a real party. though i can’t guarantee they’ll actually reply to me.” yeon’s crazy in the sense that she’ll try anything, jump off bridges and swim with dangerous animals, do stupid challenges that could end in blood, but those only involve her. if she touches someone, if she puts her skin on theirs - she’s convinced they’ll end up dead just like her father. will put her own safety at a risk, but not another’s. so the parties she ends up at are never.. popping. they’re never fun, quite literally the type weylyn now describes. or it’s one that requires special access, with only a couple people, not an overwhelming crowd that doesn’t know boundaries. she’ll stay in the back, over by the bar, watching everyone else have the time of their lives while she sits wondering how she became a mutant, and how it’s ruining everything, most importantly her youth.

♡. 黛玉 — a headache. that was what she got from reading the text the older had sent her. was he drunk? of course he wasn’t. this was what he usually said and the fact that he’s calling her a cow wasn’t too offending since she could call him things that were way worse than that. however, that didn’t stop her from wanting to punch him in the face, though. weylyn always had the urge to punch him in the face but she didn’t – she knew that all his fan girls would murder her. well, ahyeon would probably do it first but, whatever.

The way Daiyu reacted to his text message is the exact response he had expected — and it instantly causes him to let out a quite loud laugh after reading it. Teasing his friends is something Henry does on a daily basis, even though he always tries to make sure he doesn’t go too far. Calling the female a cow was almost hitting his own limits, but luckily she seemed not to be seriously offended. Or hurt, which would be even worse to him.

The messy influx of text messages coming in from the younger female did amuse the male, usually he only received these types of texts if someone was drunk and wanted to come drink with him or needed a ride-- not that he’d ever be sober enough to drive legally. Reading her replies, he lets out a soft snort, shaking his head before texting her back.

Elaine draws a complete blank. When it comes down to it, she’s not good at small talk especially over random matters like Einstein and his theory of whatever he was working. SEE? She doesn’t really know about the sciences and she doesn’t really care for it. But, she knows this girl is trying to make light conversation.

She gets the sense there’s supposed to be a joke––m a y b e? But, she can’t bring herself to look like she has any idea about what’s actually going on. Uh––Elaine is by no means stupid but science topics ALWAYS stumped her.

It’s not a question. It’s more of a statement. She’s repeating her to try to see if she can form a proper response to it. It’s really not that DEEP yet here Elaine is. Gobsmacked.

“ that actually happened to me in middle school. the electricity went off because it was raining so much outside and a boy who sat in the back of the room started laughing. it was so creepy that the girl next to me started crying but we couldn’t see anything so i didn’t know until she started ugly sobbing. ” arienne paused for a moment to laugh at the memory, one of the few clear ones she still had from middle school. “ it took a while for the electricity to come on but we got to light candles and mess around so it was great. ”
