We are looking back and reflect to see our view forward even clearer. The more reflective we are, the more effective we become.
Let’s Kick-Off!
We had our kick-off meeting with our client - Jean-Paul, mentor - Arie, and coach - Annette!
Getting to know each other, building a connection and trust is the base to foster communication in teams. 🗣👂🏽 Therefore, we started off with a fun game “Oops, I did it again.” Afterwards, everyone had to share one personal item that he/she is proud of, and tell the story behind it. 🤩
Here are the things we are proud of:
Iris & Melina are both proud of their bullet journals 📖, which they use to organize their every day life. This way, they keep track of the goals they set to develop themselves in a creative fashion. ✨
Alec became a self-made master chef 👨🏾🍳 and loves to cook with his special pan. 🍳
Carina’s running shoes 🏃🏽♀️ symbolize the hobby that allows her to “turn off her thoughts” sometimes.
Bryan received an award 🎗 for the best amateur football player of the week - congrats! 👏🏽
Nina has raised a little “banana plant-family” 🌴 🌿 🌱 She takes care of them everyday and enjoys seeing them grow.
What are you proud of? Let us know!

Are you curious about what our personality test is? Here are some insights:
As mentioned in the previous post, we took the Self-Determination Theory as our basis (SDT, see link in our last post). We wanted to transform our personality test (based on the SDT theory) into a more hands-on and measurable format. Therefore, we discovered the ‘General Causality Orientations Scale’ (GCOS) and found it to be an exciting addition. The GCOS by Deci and Ryan (1985) is a scale, which assesses three existing strengths of motivational orientations within an individual: Autonomy, Controlled, and Impersonal. Each of these three is expected to exist in every individual to a certain extend. Based on these different orientations and the questionnaire as a guideline, we can build our own questions. We constructed various items that explain a hypothetical sketch or practical situation. Three answer options are given to indicate the individual’s way of answering or acting. To make our tool even more valid, we came up with engaging sliders, that are instructed to move from 0-100 (%) (instead of using Likert scales) to indicate how likely the individual performs based on the selected answers. To make our tool unique, we decided to try out a special addition. Is our prototype gonna work out? We will keep you posted! 50°50'41.1"N 5°41'24.0"E 📍
