it’s been a while since i’ve written like an in order chapter book storyline but that could be fun!!

technically i’m doing a finn x reader full fanfic rn just going slightly out of order and jumping around

omggg i’ve seen this i literally woke up the next day and there was so much hate and i was like guys what 😭😭

personally i also thought they were all funny and i loved them

i did kind of fear that a lot of the people that were gonna watch it were only watching for finn and weren’t gonna understand the snl humor and unfortunately that is what happened 😣

snl has always been that sketch comedy show that has made jokes poking fun at the political/pop culture of the united states and if anyone watched any of the other sketches they’ve done on youtube it’s always always always been like that. that’s just the kind of show snl is and they aren’t gonna change that. i didn’t think any of the jokes were bad and i actually thought they were funny.

i did not take caleb’s joke as a rape joke as people have been saying and that didn’t even cross my mind so i don’t like that caleb has been getting hate too :(

so..basically let me explain this one LOL

someone in my inbox teased the idea before we even knew how the show was ending and i wasn't gonna decide it until i saw the ending of the show and decided how my own write-in would go based on how i was developing y/n's st character (and y/n in the mike wheeler mini series fic) and then i sat on it for a really long time before deciding that it makes the most sense in my head based on how i've flushed out sloane in my head

it's kind of like the death of sloane is the death of childhood and like the death of everything they've been through

BUT there may be just be another surprise coming when i finally drop the final chap ;)

slight spoilers below as i talk abt the finale:

i personally loved the finale. i’m a st finale supporter and i think they ended it really well. as someone who grew with the cast and the show from 13-22 i really, really resonated with the ending and i think the ambiguous ending about el allows the viewers to also find their own closure within the show like mike and they can either choose to believe him or create their own ending for el.

i don’t believe main characters needing to die was needed to make it emotional and it was emotional all on its own, and i’m actually really glad none of the main characters died. i think it proves that there are “stranger things” that happen and them not dying during any of things they’ve been through is a part of those stranger things.

the show ending with all of them playing d&d shows just what the show is about which is playing d&d with a group of people who aren’t really socially accepted, but it doesn’t matter to them because they’ll always have each other and love each other. friendship is a really big theme in this show through all the seasons and i think some people kind of forgot that and only focused on the ships of the show which is not the point of the plot nor the storyline. it started with d&d and it ended with d&d.
