Page 49 - Rock On, Rocket Llama!
I kept getting Hakuna Matata stuck in my head when I was coloring in this page. I like colors! In life. My wardrobe at home is basically like a unicorn threw up on a pair of leggings, so like... yeah.
The hikers featured in this snippet are Appa, Captain and Indie. I drew them for the first time on page 16, over a year ago before I started my second run of the PCT (I hiked in both 2013 and 2014). Since this comic runs more-or-less chronologically from May 2013, it may be quite a while before I can start writing my friends from 2014 into the story. But there’s bound to be scenes where I need extra characters, like the driver of the car in today’s page. So... here’s lookin’ at you, Sugar Pine! <3
