Aww, I just know that Michael wanted to just run and hug Lincoln as soon as they saw each other in prison for the first time.
it's the way the PeteKenta segued into PeteWay. MY PETEWAY HEART IS STILL BROKEN!
I'm rewatching Peaky Blinders for the very first time. I've watched it once and that was right after season 6 came out. I watched all the way up to season 3 episode 3 of Peaky Blinders in about a week and a half the first time around and I completely forgot just how dense of a plot season 1 had.
Like, I forgot that Tommy sold out a communist ally of Freddie to try and scare him and Ada into leaving town at Polly's suggestion.
Also, Freddie finds out about all of this when he's visiting his mother's grave on her birthday because this is the only time Polly knows where he will be. She then tells him A. what they've done and B. Ada was the one who came up with the plan. But then Freddie tells her that none of the communists know each other's addresses in case something like this happens so all this plan is going to achieve is getting a man tortured to death for information he doesn't have.
All of this happens in episode 4, the same episode where Freddie gets arrested so it really added some dramatic irony for me.
Season 1 was already my favourite season but the intricacies that you can really pay attention to on a rewatch because you already know what's going to happen really do make it that much better in my eyes.
Something that makes me so sad, watching through "Prison Break", is that it's clear how much Lincoln loved his mother. She isn't mentioned a lot pre-mid-season 4, but when she is, it's usually from Lincoln. He spoke about her so highly, was prepared to beat Bellick when he insulted her, etc. Michael mentioned that when she was in the hospital, Lincoln was there every day to hold her hand as she died, at just 13. He loved her so much.
And she hated him. For nothing.

Aaah, Michael and Lincoln's hug 🥺 I'm so soft for them.
The way I would slob on Alan's knob.
We gotta give Daddy S his flowers for not only helping to produce such a great series but also giving us one of the worst villains in BL history.
