A small colour comp for a hopefully soon to be painting. 🌛🌚 My impostor syndrome is sometimes so strong, that when I come up with an idea I'm excited about, my first thought is "you probably saw it somewhere else but don't remember and now you are just copying someone else". I don't personally believe anything is ever fully original, so I'm sure most of my ideas have been done by multiple other people before me, and I am sure some concepts I've imagined are derived from things I have forgotten I saw, but I am always so scared that I'm literally just reproducing a work I glimpsed one day, and that my mind is not truly capable of being imaginative. Because part of my brain can't accept that it could produce anything I would genuinely be happy about. How messed up is that? I bet I'm not the only one who thinks that way! Might as well give the corkboards a new paintjob since I'm redoing the studio. I gave the first one a snowstorm painted with white and payne's grey. Now I want to make a watercolor painting just like this because it's so soothing! This was soo hard to paint and I felt like the paper didn’t want to cooperate with me! So this didn’t turn out like I wanted, but I wanted to capture the light we had one morning! One thing I should definitely practice more is landscapes and backgrounds!

Small progress and a brain warm up this morning on this commissioned piece. 🌵🌑I’m already thrilled with how it’s coming along. I’m scared to add the galaxy sky though 😰🌌...I might have to scan this in before I make it just in case it goes south...maybe I can add in a new sky if it does 🤷🏼‍♀️ Pretty sure I need to make some cactus moons too...why haven’t I thought of that before?
