With a former principal ballerina for a mother, and a choreographer for a father, dance practically ran in her veins. So it was no surprise that after she took her first steps, her parents were already planning to stick her in a studio.
At the age of two she was sporting pink leotards and matching ballet slippers, and happily prancing around a studio alongside her toddler friends. As she grew, so did the amount of classes and hard work, and Arianna’s life began to revolve around studio schedules and prepping to become the perfect prima ballerina her parents wanted her to be.
Arianna didn’t mind, at least, not at first. dance came easy to her and preforming on a stage gave her a rush like no other. Yet she watches the other “normal” kids, the ones who weren’t training to become professional dancers, and envies the carelessness and freedom that they live their life with, longing to know what it feels like to have minimal worries, and a life free of aching muscles and constant dead pointe shoes.
