She Was Pretty by @skeptiquewrites
[useless technical shinfo: this one is an insane combination of lots of different stitches — backstitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, fishbone stitch, woven wheels and french knots. on pink cotton, using thirteen different shades of thread and a 20 cm hoop. all together this took about 9 hours]
I really don't embroider enough for rarepairs, and even though I love her Drarry fics, I just had to do a rare pair for Tee. It's just a bonus that this happens to be one of my absolute favourite parlavander fics ever.
I love this deep dive into Lavender's character we don't often see — the gentle way she leans into her pain and her grief and her trauma, the way she's brave and loving and kind and determined. Tee's Lavender is so much more than a background character. She's real, fleshed out and beautiful in her path to overcoming her war trauma and coming to terms with who she is now.
There is so much care and softness in the way Parvati and Lavender interact in this, the way they love and want each other, even before they ever admit it to themselves and to each other. I love the little details we get about them, their lives and their families, and the way this feels like a much bigger story than anyone could ever fit in 4k. It honestly steals my heart with every reread.
