It’s really hard to put your true feelings into mere words. You want your sentiments to be genuine and not just for the moment. But, I felt this was the right time to express my sadness and admiration to a true musical hero. After attending his memorial service today, it finalized the fact that Paul Johnson is really gone. The memories, the crazy stories, the enduring friendships, the shock & sadness, and of course, the music. There’s no way to express the kind of love and respect that we as a House Music community can give to a person who was such an intrical part of it. The knowing that we will never again see his smile, hear his laughter, and experience his gift. A gift that he genuinely gave to the world and inspired so many.
