Best of Princess Tutu: Episode 6, part 7

“The Phantom of the ballet troupe is there... inside your mind...”

So, in Golden Crown town there are cars/vehicles. That means the time span can be earliest at the beginning of 1900 when cars began to be popularized in Europe. But it was more rare to have one, and a big thing like the troupe’s truck really makes this go further to 20′s. Electrick lightning also became common in the early 20th century. Still this town seems somewhat older to fit this time period in my opinnion... maybe it just greatly falls behind in advancement?

Hey y’all, so as usual I was looking up references for a Ptutu related drawing for someone, this time for looking up references of Paulamoni.

Well, I finally decided to tell @zerozeroren my old headcanon that I had for years but could never verify, that Paulo from ep 6 in Ptutu

could possibly be based off of none other than RUDOLF NUREYEV, one of the iconic dancers of the twentieth century.

I MEAN LOOK AT HIM. DONT TELL ME HE DOESNT LOOK SIMILAR, ESPECIALLY WITH A UNIQUE DESIGN LIKE PAULO’S.

Like Nureyev’s the guy who choreographed the version of the Nutcracker that I grew up  and fell in love with (btw @therookieking412, @ultimate-cringelord you two know which ballet im talking about but for other click link to find the version on youtube)

 and could hardly compare it to other Nutcrackers afterwards!!! (which is also the only reason why I made this connection in the first place LOL) 

His biography is amazing, but I am too lazy to write it all out here and might butcher all the facts with my rose-tinted lenses.

AND ANOTHER HEADCANON to go with this, is that Paulamoni

could possibly be based off of Rudolf Nureyev’s long dance partner, who is also known for her role in The Sleeping Beauty before their partnership, MARGOT FONTEYN.

All the students in Miss Raetsel’s first grade class have to write letters to Miss Paulamoni’s kids. Young and already full of himself Autor writes a crisp letter to his pen pal, Malen. He doesn’t expect anything special when she writes back, but she manages to surprise him.
