I just turned a Bernie Sanders supporter into a Rand Paul supporter. It's amazing what sitting down and discussing fiscal matters will do.

For one, the constitution wins out every time, so, no, Bernie will never win in any debate. All you have to do to successfully refute him is to quote whatever line from the constitution he is attempting to violate. 2nd, can you explain to me what you think is wrong with Rand's reasoning? I really don't know quote how liberal minds work so I really would like some insight. You dont have a right to food because that would mean a farmer and a cook need to prepare it for you regardless of if they get payed or not, you dont have a right to a healthcare because that would imply a doctor has to service you whether he wants to or not and whether he gets payed or not. The list goes on. The fact is that the only rights you have as an individual are ones that cannot be granted by others. The bill of rights is a list of things that cannot be infringed; they do not entitle you to anything. The right to bear arms does not mean that you are entitled to a weapon and the government needs to provide you one. You are not entitled to shit, even social security is not a 'right' ,they can take that shit away if they so chose (and they will,eventually) so start saving money. Our society happens to be successful enough that we can take care of those who are worse off. That does not mean they have a right to this or that. I never understand liberals -Blessed /pol/ack
