Maybe for Honmoon Duty Reasons / a Hunter mission gone wrong, rumira get trapped in the demon realm. Zoey may or may not know what happened to them, but holds on to her belief that they're not dead (they can't be, she's sure she'd *know* in her own soul), and determinedly raises bean with the horizon of, your moms will come back. For sure. There's no world where they wouldn't try everything they had to make it happen.
feel free to decide how many years pass before there's a knock at Zoey's door, and who opens it (Zoey with a toddling bean behind her? An adolescent/adult bean who doesn't recognise these strangers, calling for "Zozo" to let her know?). Either way there is a soft and soggy reunion as Zoey tackles them and gets her overdue backlog of hugs she's missed for ??? years. And introduces bean to her moms.
