Pattern Or Practice Movie Premiere on Monday, January 20th, 2014 Martin Luther King Day. "COMMUNITY REACTIONS"
PATTERN OR PRACTICE DOCUMENTARY SHOCKS AND STUNS COMMUNITY!!!!
Pattern or Practice - Reaction!!! There were well over 200 people in attendance for the debut showing of the documentary Pattern Or Practice. Some of those in attendance were members of the National N.A.A.C.P and also former City Of Racine Aldermen, as well as current City Of Milwaukee Aldermen and community members. People in attendance were at times drawn to tears and emotionally affected by the showing of the film. When the film ended, various community members and concerned citizens began to organize future showings of the film and a desire to learn more and get involved further. Please stay tuned and please get involved. It was truly an emotional night filled with anger, passion and sadness. Congratulations to all involved and great job of production and organization! Nicely done. This documentary is professional and persuasive. It's an important resource that brings together the individuals who the city has treated unfairly and their stories. It's a unifying force. Hopefully, it's also the starting point for discussions about what kind of city we want Racine to be, and who do those in power represent? Another showing was mentioned, but no firm date yet. "Copies" of Pattern or Practice were also mentioned, which I take to mean DVDs and/or Blu-ray discs at some point. I highly recommend it. A very sad but true clip of a documentary shedding light on the discriminatory practices of the City Of Racine. Extremely eye opening!
