One of my favourite series #roguesoftherepublic by #patrickweekes ! #thepalacejob is a really fun and diverse adventure about a fantasy world with a floating city called Heaven’s Spire where all the wealthy and powerful live, and prisoners are forced to dangle underneath the city to clean it. A couple of prisoners escape and form an awesome heist crew to break into the President’s mansion and recover a stolen family heirloom! This book has a magical talking warhammer, a love priestess who is also a death priestess, a shapeshifting horny unicorn lady, a white boy who is destined to save everyone but needs a LOT of help to do it, and a couple of badass black (or Urujar as the book calls them) ex-soldiers who lead the crew with their wit and skill! The leader is an Urujar woman named Loch who enjoys punching stupid people in the face to solve things and is the brains behind the heist!
