I’d like to first and foremost thank you all for being with me through this past year or so! When I started, I just wanted to draw flareons. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I’d ever reach the amount of people that I have, and it really makes my day to see that what I do can make others happy!
I would love to continue to draw and improve my art. Though with life, work, and school in the way, it can be hard to find time to draw (bills still need to be paid!). I got some questions for people who run a patreon or pledge on patreon!
I’m *thinking* of opening up a patreon sometime in the future (not immediately, as I haven’t done enough research or gotten organized enough for it), but I have a few questions. If anyone more knowledgeable on patreon can shed some light on things for me, that’d be great!
For people who run a patreon of their own:
What kind of content do you offer on patreon that you don’t post on your art blog?
How often do you update? Do you do your updates scheduled/planned or just kind of “whenever”?
Is your patreon a full time job or a side job?
Anything you think a creator should know before they open a patreon?
For people who pledge:
What kind of patreons do you usually pledge to and why? (if you’re comfortable sharing, any specific artists?) (also, “because they draw X and I find X hot” is 100% a valid answer, I’m collecting info here not judging)
What kind of bonuses do you as a patron enjoy getting? (I’ve seen people offer colorable linearts, psds of finished products, high res versions of art, access to streams, nsfw art, etc and I’m curious as to what people find the most appealing!)
Hi! Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I never quite understand this Patreon-thing... Does it mean that some of your writings will be available only through Patreon? Or first there, then it'll be posted on Tumblr? Sorry if someone already asked >< I just reaaally enjoy your stories and all, I would love to keep on reading them ^_^ But I'm really glad you opened this! :) I hope one day I could afford this for all of my favourite artists Love you! <3 Hope you'll find inspiration again very soon!
I will continue to post fanfic on here, though from time to time there will be exclusive content. I don’t want to ‘force’ anybody to support me on Patreon, I want people to do it because they want to -- or not. But it would be greatly appreciated. (So much. Cannot word.)
