Surprised proposal
The hike took surprisingly longer than expected it was supposed to take 2-3 hours but it took just under 5 hours. It roughly took us 1.5 hr to get to the top of the hike. It was not a busy hike like Trollunga in Norway we were the only people on the hike for some time before we saw other people. By the time we got to the top I was quite exhausted. It was very hot and I didn’t expect the hike to go that long. Since there were no other hikers to take the photos for us Matt suggested to take a photo on his camera on auto. He told me pick a spot to stand while the set up the camera. When he came back he quickly bent on one knee and proposed I was so shocked and surprised I had no clue he was going to proposal on that day. Of course, I said YES! I was very happy, happy! I could tell he spent a lot of thought to make the proposal special. It was very special.
After the hike, we rested back at our apartment and later that evening we had dinner at a restaurant that looked out to the ocean. When Matt proposed I was really hot and sweaty and I felt that I didn’t look in the photo so we retook a few proposal photos in the evening and the next morning. When I look back at the photos I think the first photo was really nice and I didn’t look sweaty and tired at all. At the time we decided to post the restaged photo of the proposal on Facebook. The next day, we call our family and closest friends of the happy news. Everyone was very happy for us.
