What was Thell and Pathal's first meeting like?
Pathal and Thell met at 10-ish and 7-ish respectfully. Thell was startled by Pathal because he was the first Yrian he had ever seen. He did a lot of hiding behind his mother and older brothers. Thell did watch Pathal a lot but didn't start signing to him until 2 summers later.
What's Pathal's favourite thing about life at the castle? What's his least favourite?
His favorite thing about life a the castle has probably been that he's been able to spend more time with Thell. Growing up, they were only seeing each other a few months out of the year since Pathal lived at the Castle on the South Shore.
His least favorite of course would have to be the current weather (in story). Pathal lived in place where yes, it would get cold at night and there was a nice breeze coming from the ocean, but it was warm almost year round. He also feels a lot more cramped at the Bossamar castle. The Castle on the South Shore is a lot more spaced out and private conversations were actually private.
What does Pathal like to write poems about most? And would he share what he's written with Thell or is it something he's not confident to show anyone yet?
Pathal writes poetry mainly focused around nature, religion, and relationships. It's not that he isn't confident to show it off, just that it's private. Maybe later in the story, he'll share some of his poetry with Thell or Farin.
So does Pathal like poetry in general as well?
Absolutely, he enjoys poetry very much. He writes his own as well but that's still very private!
