I'm in summer school and recently I found a turtle on school grounds, so of course, me being the paternal figure I am, I've adopted him. His name is Piper Franklin. Meet my son!

     Snout remained vertically in the hair, nostrils flaring as she took in the new scent. The beast balanced on her back paws as she tried to identify what the smell belonged to. Another minute or two passed before she finally recognized it as that of another lycanthrope. Since leaving the pack that had taken her in, she had yet to come across another of her kind. Atl east one that hadn’t tried to rip her throat out and she was eager and hopeful this one had some sort of control. Falling to her hands she feels the cool earth beneath her paw pads and quickly begins trotting deeper into the old woods. Leaves on branches rattled as the wind blew through them until the branches above became so intertwined only traces of the moonlight was able to filter through.      A lone howl echoed through the woods, forcing the trespasser to pause, ears twitching as they listened for where the call ricocheted off trees and followed it back to its source. With a small wag of her tail she quickens her pace, ignore the way the leaves crunched and twigs snapped beneath her paws as they beat against the ground.
