It’s true that he’s exhausted but if it means keeping Ciri safe, then so be it. The girl is peacefully asleep and he could be asleep, too, especially with another Witcher here willing to look after her while he sleeps but still - he can not help but think she needs him awake.

Jotunhiem wasn’t the same . . . he had lost his throne to Asgard and the stupid battles he swore he would have won. His chest and throat ached from the raw emotion that dared to escape his very being. There was just something utterly deafening about the silence around him. 

The magic he had used to hide his blue skin was almost convincing to those who slaughtered the soldiers at his side and was about to kill him. The only thing that saved him was the hesitation in the Asgardian forces- it was long enough for him to escape. For that he tried to focus on his blessings. His heart racing quickly as he found himself kneeling in the frozen tundra. 

He tried slowly rising to his feet, the snow feeling far colder and biting into any exposed skin he had. The very core of the former king was shaking. Loki was on the edge, he needed to just take a deep breath, calm down and he-

Staying the course wasn’t an inevitability, it was a choice. He’d seen the alternative. The ‘You're not walking out of here, Markus. The only thing you can save now are the lives of those around you’, dangled before him, as if surrendering would somehow purchase his people’s lives. Give up. Give up, the universe had seemed to whisper, with Jericho sinking like a dull metallic scream into a frigid bay. Give up. The humans had told them. Disperse. Stand down. 

He’d faced down the ‘I have no choice’ and demanded otherwise, with his fingers dug into a wall that was never meant to be broken. If he’d given up he would have died, long before now. And he would have dragged others with him.

    Connor nods in a way of acknowledgment, his cursory glance over him a little more for show than anything else. He was already well aware that Vin was fit, far surpassing the just enough category he found a lot of officers were comfortable to remain in. He’d certainly be less boring to train with.

    Connor had a choice. Surrender, or politely make his exit. Past the door, he can still hear calls of Alright, Robocop! 

    He never did get to grips with team bonding.

    With an unnecessary sigh he relents, hoisting himself onto the table and unbuttoning his shirt. The damage was located in his upper right arm, nothing he couldn’t fix himself in front of a mirror. He’d been lucky it was a knife they’d been holding, rather than a gun. Before Vin can start diagnosing, he spots the blood splatter on his own shirt, lingering on it before meeting his eyes again.

Moon: Ally's greatest wish is to have a family of her own. She's turning 30 this year (jfc endgame why did you have to have a five year speed up) and as she's figuring out and setting up her professional life, her focus is turning towards family. She's always wanted to get married, always wanted to have kids, and I think she is going to make it happen.
