“Ah, no weapons?”

Mitsuri felt her cheeks warm at the way Shinobu’s glossed lips formed her name. She shook her head slightly, swallowing hard before clearing her throat and discarding what she wouldn’t need.

They faced each other in their uniforms- no haoris or decorations needed, feet bare against the tatami. They faced each other for a heartbeat, for the length of one deep breath.

Shinobu could feel herself soften, let her peripheral pull in every detail of the woman in front of her- the curve of a hip, the swell of her bosom, the way her lips parted as she exhaled. A shiver raced down the insect hashira’s spine- and then they moved.

Each strike cold and calculated from either side, each narrow avoidance of contact pulling at heartstrings pulled taut for eternity as they chased and fled in equal measure from each other; Shinobu ducked a strike just barely before throwing one of her own and glancing the blow off of Mitsuri’s collarbone and earning a squeak of surprise as she stumbled.

Shinobu paused, blinking lavender-accented eyes as braids gave out in a cascade of color; hair falling thick and heavy as a siren as Mitsuri’s gaze hardened almost playfully.

“Good one, Shinobu.”, she said, breathless from their earlier speed.

Shinobu’s breath caught in her throat, she cleared it and nodded after forcing a smile to prevent her jaw going slack.

They stood again- calculating and wicked in the sweetest way- sugar syrup laced in something they refused to name.

They clashed again- delight and demand blurring and mixing as their blows lost their calculating edge and became almost teasing; excuses to touch each other in a language that needed no words. Strikes at the face became excuses to brush fingertips near smooth necks, the midsection an excuse to be close to a higher heartbeat or the round of a hip.

Shinobu’s hairclip gave way- letting her own shorter waves flutter free like a hawkmoth’s wings as she pushed close to Mitsuri- her smile unwavering and almost elegant in its accidental sultriness before suddenly Mitsuri’s back hit the tatami with a loud thud.

Shinobu pinned one of Mitsuri’s arms to the floor with an almost vicious strength belied by her frame and there they lay- Shinobu straddling Mitsuri’s firm waist and the tips of their noses touching as they panted; breath mingling between them like perfume.

“I think-”, a panted breath, “That I am victorious, Mitsuri.”

“Y-Yeah.”, was the soft answer, green eyes gilded in the soft light around them, “I... Maybe? I think so, yeah.”

Shinobu tilted her head, a lock of hair falling over her eye as she took in the sight below her- Mitsuri’s hair spread in roiling watercolor waves like the painting of old masters- delicate strokes and blended lines and the insect hashira once again felt her breath catch.

“You.. don’t understand how lovely you are, Mitsuri.”

“No, I... I do.”, was the answer, “But I wanted... I want to know how lovely you think I am. I want to know what you think of me-”

“I am the silent echo that follows your laughter.”, she says, her lips brushing over Mitsuri’s with every word, “I am the moth that flutters around your comforting light. I am the monarch made of yearning and you are the cosmos blooms I orbit, hoping for just a taste.”

Mitsuri felt her heartbeat rattling her ribs before she moved her head to press their lips together. Shinobu gave a soft hum of surprise, and then of shock as a rock of hips and a push of elbows resulted in Mitsuri lounging between the insect hashira’s spread legs and each curve pressed against the subtle figure Shinobu hid beneath her uniform.

The kiss jarred apart, then returned full force with a soft gasp between them as hands buried in hair and clutched desperately at the color of spring and summer and safety between cherry blossoms and aged wisteria.

Shinobu pulled away with a rapid whisper of, “You shouldn’t you’ll end up-”

“I don’t care.”, said Mitsuri with a waver to her voice, her emotion bubbling over like cordial as she buried her face into Shinobu’s neck and breathed in the smell of flowers and sword polish, “I don’t care, I don’t care- please, just let me kiss you until I can’t please-”

“My sk-skin!”, gasped Shinobu, “Where my skin is dry is safe-”

Mitsuri hummed, burying her face against the cool smoothness of Shinobu’s neck and wriggled her arms to wrap around the smaller Hashira as she felt slim ankles lock together and legs close around her waist.

“Well thought out, Mitsuri.”, she mused, freeing her hands to pet over unbraided hair, “...But why?”

“You are the only person who... who never said you loved me for what I DO for you. Only the things that I am.”

The embrace tightened, “...It made me feel. Wanted. In a way I’d never felt before.”

Shinobu felt her face grow warm, all the way to the shell of her ears and she wished she could hide in her haori, “I... I see-”

“How long, Shinobu?”, asked Mitsuri with that brush of innocence in her words as she looked up with decidedly coy eyes, “How long have you wanted in the garden?”

An answering sly laugh, “Now.. That would be telling.”

A kiss to Shinobu’s chin before Mitsuri pulled away, “Then knock at the gate after sundown- I’m sure it will open.”

And with a nymph’s giggle, Mitsuri spirited away with a flutter of cherry blossom petals and snatched her carefully bundled possessions before bounding out the door with all the spryness of a march hare.

Shinobu sat up, blinking for a moment as she tucked her hair behind her ear before the innuendo clicked in her mind.

Outside the door, familiar flame-bright hair was reflected in windows as Tengen looked up- Kyoujurou simply stepping aside and raising his free arm as he spoke with his opposite hand touching his own throat.

One time, you were out at a rolling skating rink and ordered from the food stall there. Once you two were married, the banter never stopped between you. He let his reserved self go and would howl with laughter at your witty comments and puns. "It's an im-pasta!" You declared as you had found an undo noodle in your late night pack of ramen. Katsuki chortled at you, smiling and shaking his head. "Want me to lock him up?" He asked, grinning at you. "Yes!" You affirmed, letting him take the undo noodle out of the simmering pot and popping it into his mouth.

One day, you were filming for a show that specialized in revealing some behind the scenes moments of real heroes' lives, and you and Katsuki had been the most voted to be interviewed by the viewers for obvious reasons. The cameraman trailed behind Katsuki as he walked to the front door of his house with a bouquet of 24 red roses.

You opened the door, having heard some chatting outside and gasped. "Awwww. You're so thoughtful, Katsuki." You hugged him, and he kissed your temple. "He really rose to the occasional, huh?" You said, looking directly into the camera, wiggling your eyebrows. "You're a fucking funny person." He chuckled. "My wife," He gestured to you at the camera, "is the fucking funniest person I know. "

"What are you sneakin' around for?!" Bakugou barked at Mina as she tiptoed up behind him with the aforementioned coat. "What?! I wasn't doing anything!" She claimed as she hid the jacket behind her back, looking up toward the ceiling as if it had just become suddenly quite interesting. You rolled your eyes while Tsu and Uraraka giggled to each other as you watched the scene unfold. Kaminari took the opportunity while Bakugou was distracted to rush by with the hat and whished it onto Katsuki's soft spiky locks.

He quickly ripped it off, tossing it behind him as if it were a piece of trash. Mina then rushed up behind him with the coat, once again attempting to slip it onto his person. "You touch me 'n you die!" He yelled at her, gritting his teeth. "Come on, give into peer pressure! It's Christmas! Where's your Christmas spirit?" The pinkette retorted, stomping her foot once at him as if to prove her determination.

You watched as they bickered, gritting and grinding their teeth at each other as if they were a pair of angry dogs. "Mina." You called, waving her over to you after she turned her attention to you. Bakugou's shoulders dropped slightly as they lost the tension they were holding, relief washing over him as he watched the pink girl make her way over to you. She whisked the tossed hat up off the floor, giving Bakugou a pointed glare over her shoulder as she did. Finally, you stepped in to save him from his tormenters. At least, that was what he thought.

You smiled sweetly at her as she handed you the coat and hat, whispering to her quietly that you'd take care of it. Mina shot a smug expression over her shoulder at the blonde before bouncing away. You laid the jacket neatly across your lap, smoothing out the velvety material against your thighs. You then took the hat and began to pet it gently. To everyone else, it just seemed like you were fidgeting with the item, but Katsuki knew better. He narrowed his eyes at you, you knew how to push his buttons, and how to get your way with him.

You knew how much your boyfriend loved when you would rubbed and scratched his head. You also knew that he became insanely jealous over anything if you were giving something else more attention than him. He huffed with annoyance, shoving his hands into his pockets and kicking at the floor like he was a misbehaved child. You, however, continued to talk and be merry with your classmates, giggling with Tsu and Uraraka while sipping at your hot chocolate every so often.

Bakugou knew you had heard his huff and had chosen to ignore him, because most times when you heard a sound of irritation from the blonde, you would cast your attention toward him and ask what was wrong. He knew how to properly earn your attention, but he was stubborn, and the Santa get-up was stupid, and everyone else was stupid for wanting to wear it. Except for you, of course. You always looked good in everything you sported. Hell, he's told you before that you could wear a damn potato sack and still manage to look like a snack. And the Santa two piece you wore was kind of doing something for him; he made a mental note to mention it to you later when you were finally alone.

He straightened himself and grunted toward you this time, testing to see if you'd look his way, but alas you didn't. You continued to play with the hat meant for him, pinching the white fringe between your finger tips and rubbing it gently. He tossed his head back in exasperation, groaning loudly before looking toward you again. Katsuki felt the tips of his ears become hot with envy as he watched you begin to fidget with the spiky orange ball of fabric at the top of the hat. You messed with it in such a way you knew would bother him, treating it so gently as if it were a sleeping cat in your lap instead of a hat. You knew that he thought that should be him right now, sitting on the floor in front of you, receiving your gentle, but firm head scratches.

The girls began to murmur and giggle amongst themselves as they realized what was going on. All of their teases and chatter died on their tongues as Bakugou slunk over to you. He stood next to the couch you sat on and grunted at you again. You paid him no mind as you leaned forward to grab your mug, bringing it to your lips and taking another sip of the smooth and sweet beverage. Everyone held their breath as Katsuki rounded the side of the couch and stood in front of you, silently demanding your undivided attention.

Despite feeling the heat of his gaze pierce your skull, you simply reached around him and placed your mug back onto the coffee table in front you, crossing your legs and turning your body away from him as you leaned back. Katsuki growled at you at that, but the sound caught in his throat as you whipped your head toward him. You gave him a pointed stare, then looked him up and down before looking away from him and continuing your conversation with Tsu that he had so rudely interrupted. Tsu followed your lead and began to speak again and everyone else began to chatter again, recognizing that Bakugou wasn't as much of a threat to you as he was to everyone else.

Bakugou breathed in a deep sigh, all of his stubbornness leaving him on his exhale. He squatted down in front of you and stared at you until you finally him graced him with your attention once more. You gave into him after a few minutes, looking toward him after he grunted at you again. Your eyebrows knitted together in, sighing softly in exasperation as you finally faced him. The crease in your brow came undone at the sight of your boyfriend bowing his head to you, offering his invisible crown to trade for your attention and the Santa hat you still held in your grasp.

You smiled softly, cooing soft praises at him that only he could hear as you gently tugged the hat over his silky blonde spikes. Blush took over Katsuki's face as you tilted his chin up toward you with a delicate finger. "Don't be such a Grinch." You whispered, pressing a kiss to the space between his eyebrows and then to the tip of his nose.

He couldn't help the smile that begin to climb onto his lips as huffed a quiet laugh through his nostrils.

You began to lean forward, gently cupping Katsuki's face with your hands. He meant you half way, completing the kiss. You tilted your head more to deepen the kiss before pulling away. "Oooooo~" Kaminari, Hagakure, and Mina teased between giggles. The blonde growled up at them, but it hardly had any bite to it due to him still being flustered from your kiss.

The sounds of your sweet giggling brought the blonde's attention back to you. You leaned forward again this time pressing your forehead against his. "Merry Christmas, Katsuki." You whispered, rubbing your nose against his. He huffed a small laugh at you. "Merry Christmas, y/n." He whispered back.
