@pastelbloomd sent: "Are you in need of an exorcism, by any chance?" It is, perhaps, a rude way to greet someone she's never met; however, Kirika sees no point in beating around the bushβ-some things are more important than politesse and etiquette. (For Shayne!)
The boy wasn't actually busy. Distracted was a better word. When the shrine maiden had approached, immediately alerting the entity dwelling within, he'd been hunched over... a bush, actually. An uncanny gnarl of branch at the edge of foliage having caught his attention. A limb broken, leaves dying. The camera lens hovers like an all seeing eye, at least until Kirika speaks up.
Shayne, this woman sees me... she must be removed. Permit my presence.
"Need. You said need. A requirement." The boy elaborates for himself, remaining hunched at the edge of the pavement. He turns to look at Kirika, though gauging his actual interest is difficult. They are, however, looking at her.
"Do I require something like.. an exorcism? I don't know. The people who need those, do they say so?" It's an interesting query. To Shayne. Elaathug, the being who had merged with his, is restrained against their wishes as it always was- the sensitive shrine maiden perceiving maybe only the most vague of shimmers in his form as something unearthly squirms across the fabric of reality. "I wonder if they feel denial. Of what it is they really need. Is an exorcism something that makes them feel better?"
