The Legend of the blue sea...
I know it has been a while since this one was released; I wasn’t really into the mermaid love story scenario: thinking it would be the typical Ariel type story but seeing Lee min Ho on my screen for a few hours cant be a bad thing *swoon*, so i thought i would give it a go.
This drama is hilarious! watching Sim chung adapt to life on land and her unusual friendship with the beggar and the school kid are sooooo cute! but seriously, how can someone look so good in clothes that they pulled out from the trash #so unfair!
The chemistry she has with Heo Joon-jae, wow! Lee min-Ho really is made for the *appearing to not care but really doing everything they can for their loved one* character and I absolutely love the fact that he doesn’t tell her that he knows about her being a mermaid, but instead is giving her time, so that she can reveal it herself; the scene in the sauna when he protects her from water is hilarious! it had me laughing like crazy.
The way this plot line linked the past and present of these characters is very interesting. The complicated way in which the characters relate to one another and to the version of themselves from the past is very well done and intriguing to watch.
But there is one thing I don’t understand; the dreams.
I assume the idea is that their ‘past self’ is trying to communicate with their ‘present self’ to warn them of events that will happen. However in the case of Heo-Joon jae, his ‘past self’ dreams of the future, sees the date of his death and manages to change it; but this wouldn’t be possible with a ‘past-present’ relation, it would be more applicable in a ‘parallel universe’ scenario....am i thinking to much into this? or am I just understand this wrong......????
