Passive/Isekai MC snippet with a semi-happy ending.
Was it wrong to avoid the main storyline? You think not. Death could easily come to you at any time during that, so really it was better. They were only characters in a game, after all, so did it really matter? Nope.
But damn if it didn't hurt when you heard about what was happening in the dorms. Everything turned out alright eventually, but some NPCs were badly hurt.
They weren't important to the plot, but still. You found yourself studying potions and making pain relievers, sleeping potions, regeneration potions, and common cures for sicknesses.
The Healer of NRC was a campus cryptid. Impossible to track down, good enough at covering their tracks that the only thing left behind was a pair of gloves and an apron covered in stains.
You couldn't request a potion from them, but they somehow just... knew. If you were having bad nightmares, a dreamless sleep potion would show up on your bedside after a night or two. Anyone who had overblotted got the best ones they could make, and little encouraging notes that spoke of things they couldn't remember telling anyone except a very special few.
The Healer of NRC stood at a cauldron, silvery water lit up with an image of the area in STYX where the captives were being kept. A corkboard nearby was covered in images, red strings, and plans for how to stay hidden. Eyes aglow with stars, the enraged student dispelled the scry and began to plot their next move.
