It was a particularly bad day, Techno thought, as he threw his weapon across the room. The blade hit the wall uselessly, clattering to the floor. From where he stood, he could see the bend of the sword, the new imperfection seeming to glow with the sunlight, taunting him. Any harder and the blade might’ve shattered.

How do you live with the destruction you leave in your wake?

A cacophony of whispers and murmurs echoed in his ears, crescendoing to a deafening roar, until all phrases and words were indecipherable. The voices were loud, inharmonious in their taunts and jests, and insensitive as they pushed the blood god into a negative space of mind.
