Happy New Year / AƱo nuevo feliz
So far i've manage to keep Partyduck in her box and we've had a really nice few days of beaches, beers, sun and food.. but yesterday was New Years Eve. I was the first to wake up and had the best intentions. I had melon and a cereal bar for breakfast only for the boys to wake up and give me pancakes, Nutella and a beer. By the time we got to the beach I was drinking rum from the bottle. We went home after the sunset and the boys went for a nap whilst I drank rum on the balcony and watched the start of the fireworks.
The rest of my New Years Eve, i'm not so sure, but after continous reminders and flash backs it seems to have gone like this..
We went out and watched the fireworks and lit a lantern that got stuck and burnt out in a very nearby tree. We went out to a club, danced, drank and came home at 5am much to my naughty protests. The neighbours were having a party so we quietly invited ourselves in. At some point the boys went to bed much to my protests which included climbing on their beds with my dirty feet, nachos and a glass of rum whilst shouting that they were 'ruining everything'. I eventually gave up and went to the pool with my new found friends, rum and tomato shots. After a walk on the beach at 11am my last remaining new friend passed out on his balcony. I came home, made another rum and coke, sat on my balcony and began the important task of looking for flights home..anything but bed! Around 12 noon Partyduck finally accepted that it was over and reluctantly climbed back in her box.
