FAQ: Dice Background and Palette Requests
Hello I have recently gotten some asks about dice palettes and background requests and I just wanted to pop in with an update.
What is a palette? Palettes are a polyhedral set built of different dice that can represent a theme or character.
What is a background? Backgrounds are groups of multiple sets of dice that have been jumbled together to represent a theme, character, party, or etc.
When are requests open? Requests are always open. Submit them via the ask box. I do not accept requests via messages.
What information should I include in my ask? Please include if you want a palette or a background. Include some relevant information about your character, class, race, physical attributes, colors associations, etc. Otherwise just include the colors or theme that you would like to see represented.
It's been a few days/weeks/months since I submitted my ask, where is it? Because I never close the ask box requests can pile up. I also am only one person with a lot on my plate so I try to get to the asks when I can. Please be patient.
What type of backgrounds can I ask for? Color schemes, pride flags, character backgrounds, party backgrounds, dice type (ex. all glitter, all two-tone, etc.).
What type of backgrounds can I not ask for? Specific patterns mainly. Creating perfect stripes, circles, shapes, etc. take a lot more time to do and really slow down the work flow.
Please send requests as ONE ask, I love how enthusiastic so many of you are about your characters/parties but it can become very confusing to receive requests with many parts, especially when they become interspersed with other people's requests.

Can I get a background for my dnd party? The setting is vaguely 1920s world, "the Land of the Golden Leaves," and we're a freewheeling half-orc steel heiress who got cut off after she beat up a strike-breaker (fighter), her socialist tabaxi friend who she met during the strike (rogue), a halfling flapper and low-key conwoman who made a deal with a fairy while she was drunk (warlock) and their mutual drug dealer, a quack doctor who accidentally transformed herself into a tiefling (wizard).

I have a party dice request if they're still open! So there's Mara, a shadar-kai elf warlock whose patron is the Raven queen, she's a super edgelord and wears black and lots of jewelry. Then there Ugaui, a tortle monk whose really quiet but huge and strong. Then we have Jack the elf cleric who was reassure yes for mysterious reasons and he's a bit of a goober! Finally there's Crack, a halfling rogue and ex-pirate who has magic alcohol with random effects whenever he drinks! thanks so much!!

Could I get one for my seafaring campaign? Tatsuo the mysterious elf monk loves punching metal and injuring himself. Nameia our tiefling wizard. Sheβs got permanent bed head and will hug anyone. Snorri, barbarian (aasimar?), carries a pack full of creepy objects. A bearing heart. A small skull. Etc. Eirene, half-elf tempest cleric and the only one with a brain. Keeps to herself but occasional lightning trickster. And my character Elowen, triton eldritch knight. Naive but proud. Bad with money

Hiya! This may be a long ask, but could I get a background for my entire party? It consists of, a High Elf Cleric, a Wood Elf Ranger with a pet bear, a Half-Elf Rogue trying to find her human father, a warforged cleric affectionately named "Tankbot", a feisty gnome bard, an overly friendly teifling bard, and a hopeless socially awkward teifling warlock. Collectively they are known as Fortuna Muta or, Team Dumb Luck xD

Hi! If you're still doing dice bgs, the party in my book is called the Five Shadows. There's a tiefling monk who is very kind and fights for justice, a human fighter who is a very strong but softspoken lesbian, a half elf wizard who is too ambitious and clever for her own good, a gnome ranger who is a little grumpy and hot in a cryptid way, and a human bard named Fish who is sixteen and chaotic and wonderful (she's the protagonist). Lots of blue, gold, red, and green. Love your blog!!

If you don't mind could you do a dice bg for my campaign The Waterbearer? There's Kavesar the tiefling druid who's sexuality is murder (even tho he has a boy he rlly likes), the boy he really likes Charles who has his own sorta cult, Ghorza the #soft tiefling raised by sweet orcs with a loving boyf back home, and Fei and Reylee the loving wives who try their hardest to keep each other out of trouble. Colors are browns, blues, golds, pinks, greens, reds, oranges, light greys, and yellows. Thanks!
