I find myself praying to a God I don’t believe in,

Ask them for a miracle, a cure or just more time.

Each time I get no reply,

I wish that I could amount to more,

Than crumpled paper of wasted potential lying on the floor.

All these part lines and part verses,

All these made up and forgotten universes.

They are my own invented curses

And dead bodies don’t look like I thought they were going too,

It destroys me when we fight,

I take my sword and my shield,

But it’s never enough.

The world is too damn tough,

I take another hit.

I don’t know if I can get back up.

And now I’m lying on the ground,

While the world is crashing down.

I’m tired of fighting to survive,

You never complain when I want to to go home,
