BodyBreak is iconically Canadian. You can't have BodyBreak without Hal. The mustache was sweet too.
The one constant in Hal's story is people focused on the fact he was black. But how he chose to react is different than we usually see when it comes racism. Much respect for pushing forward and not letting it get him down.
We can't ignore or deny that racism exists in Canada. But unfortunately there are those that do just because they don't want to admit Canada is not the country they have come believe it is.
