This is a Charles Parker No. 973 1/2. It belonged to my Dad and My Grandfather. Some consider it one of the best vises made. I really like it because it’s the first vise I ever used and was used by my Dad and Grandfather. I cleaned it up but not restored to make it look new. There is a lot of family history in that patina. If this vise could talk and tell of all the projects that it has helped with, and tell of the conversations had over this vise. It really is much more than a vise.
