So, something is happening.
I use this side blog mostly as my writing-related blog. I reblog writing advice, memes, post my own creative writing, stuff like that. Sometimes I reblog the occasional Fandom thing (especially if it relates to books or story telling/writing), and sometimes some queer shit.
This means I'm aware of a lot of the anti-trans stuff (specifically the whole "Staff/The CEO have been targeting trans women/trans-femme folks in order to hide their posts and nuke their blogs for being "against Tumblr's TOS") that's been happening on and off platform for a while now.
So why the FUCK have I been blocking NSFW blogs that are posting actual smut/erotic/sex gifs? I don't engage with nsfw blogs. I CERTAINLY don't engage with Straight™️ nsfw blogs. So why the fuck is the "porn is bad and Trans is a porn category so therefore trans is bad" platform SUGGESTING STRAIGHT PORN GIF BLOGS TO ME.
Just very confused and upset and needed to rant a bit about it. And will continue blocking these blogs because I simply don't want that shit showing up on my dash when I'm browsing MY WRITEBLR DASH where I expect to see writing stuff.
i love creating hypotheical hockey narratives in my head because like the pieces are nearly all there. just not quite yet....
There is a character analysis to be made on Peter Carlisle and his tendency for vices/sin. Especially in regards to Natalie and Ripley.
With Natalie, on first meeting, he drops and litters his street vendor snack to talk to her (sloth?). He barely touches his beer on their first date, when she finds out who he is, he turns down sweets after.
Meanwhile, with everyone else he indulges in food or prepares it especially (gluttony).
We have an additional layer added by their adultery (lust).
With Ripley, he is devoid of all of these, but there is a constant battle of wit and efforts to top one another with excellent one-liners. Perhaps he is absent of clear sin in the presence of a man much worse (with Ripley adopting all 7 sins throughout the series).
Much to think about, maybe a better worded post to come.

i swear to god every single special that comes out i just relate more and more to the doctor. like i already knew that i felt a lot of kinship with the doctor as a character but now. i, too, am a genderless guy that is constantly discovering who they are and is constantly trying to be better and to do better and finally letting themselves be vulnerable with their loved ones. yeah i also have a best friend that keeps me grounded but also lifts me up. yeah we're the two funniest bitches in the universe what of it?
