It is 31 days 'till I leave for Paris.Â
May 8th I found out I was accepted to study abroad in Paris.Â
Last Friday (July 26th) I found out about my apartment, roommate, and itinerary of my stay in France.
Yesterday I went to the French Embassy to apply for my Visa. The guy who processed my application was super cute, and super french, haha.
This is actually happening.
I'm excited. Nervous. Anxious. Getting ready...
So I decided to make a blog of my pre-departure and my stay in France.
And in honor of my departure, every day as part of my countdown, I will post an interesting fact or something french-related.
So for today, I will post the districts or the arrondissements of Paris!
-There are 20 districts in Paris
-Paris is in a clock-wise spiral.Â
-In 1795, Paris was divided into 12Â arrondissements. But after 1860 under Napoleon III, the districts were rearranged to the present 20.Â
-Each district has 4Â quartiers or quarters.
-Each district has a name! And it seems that the name responds to the monument or tourist attraction that is there :)
