The Grande Halle de la Villette is the former home of the Parisian meat market which sits in the heart of the Villette Park in Paris’ 19th arrondissement. Just a stone's throw from the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, the building was renovated and classified as a national monument. A must see on a trip to Paris is Château de Versailles. Within a 30 minute taxi ride from Sofitel Paris la Défense, you will find this immaculate palace which used to be home to the Royal Family. Although it still plays host to certain political functions, today it is one of France’s foremost tourist attractions. Spend the day there and take a guided tour of the interior, visit the museum, or wander around the gardens.
