"No. No, no, no, baby..." Blood climbed over to him, cupping his cheeks. "Sunny, I'm right here. I'm real, I promise you."

What kind of mate was he?

"I'm- I'm real, darling." His voice broke, and he nuzzled Sun, despite the grime on his beautiful face. "I'm here..."

WHO'S READY FOR SOME UGLY SOBBING? :D

"Monty meanie! Mean to Earth." Dazzle tattle-taled, rocking on her haunches. "Bad words. Ugly, ugly words!"

Sun gave a loud and theatrical gasp as if he'd heard the worst thing in the world. He dragged Dazzle and FC close to give them both big hugs.

"Poor babies! Having to listen to such ugliness! Fortunately, I know just the cure!" He looked between the two children who were looking at him with wide-eyed, rapt attention. Sun gave them a conspiratorial grin and finally said, "Cookies!"

Lunar balked.

"W-wait! They just had ice cream! They'll spoil their lunch!"

To her surprise, Gemini was not the only Astral standing at their door. 

At his back stood a tall, willowy woman with pale skin, a wave of bright red hair that spilled down her back in a curtain and a keen, curious pair of green eyes. Her hair was pinned back from her face by a star clip on one side and a moon clip on the other and there was a choker around her neck with a tiny golden crab dangling from it. Her clothing consisted of a white, gauzy sundress, black, heavy rain boots, and a loose button down sea-foam colored sweater, the sleeves draping down to cover all but her fingertips. She was remarkably human looking with even a smattering of freckles over the bridge of her nose. And yet...something about her just screamed "eldritch" and "powerful". She seemed suspiciously too human looking, as if it were something she’d practiced at. Like an illusion to hide the truth beneath.

"Libby!" She squealed with uncontained excitement and joy, her wide, too normal eyes filling with tears, "I've missed you! I've been so worried!"
