a lot of people actually feed their leeches themselves! otherwise you would need to pay for sausage casings and buy blood from a butcher. letting your pet leeches feed on yourself makes them into essentially free pets! i wouldn't recommend feeding them from the wrist though. the anticoagulant in their saliva causes bites to bleed for a very long time and the wrist would be an inconvenient place. from what i've seen most people prefer the ankle!
