Background / Basic Information:
—Benjamin part of a species of creatures related to the Mothman—aliens that came to Earth many years ago that can shift between human(mostly) and creature bodies, rapidly evolving over the years and generations to take on a more colourful, insect-like appearance on their creature form, compared to the shadowy, bird-like forms that earlier generations had. Everyone in the species acquires the gift of foresight when they come of age.
—Benjamin themself is a cheerful, ever-hopeful person, with a great love of fashion—in their human form, they’re always making clothes for themself and their friends.
—One of their other favourite hobbies is ghost-hunting with their best friend: a siren named Tourmaline, who they bonded with when they were both children. Benjamin has a great affinity for talking with spirits.
—In their moth form, Benjamin can’t emote their face too well, so they make up for it while being very physically expressive with their four arms, antennae, and wings. Even in their human form, they initiate a lot of physical contact—handshakes, hand holding, hugs, and the like.
—Benjamin isn't the biggest fan of their foresight. When having visions of where bad things are soon about to happen, they frequently fly to visit these areas and warn as many people as possible, even if they know not everyone will be saved. Sites of catastrophe haunt them, guilty they couldn't save everyone even though they realistically couldn't.
