Connor looked at the other android, eyebrows furrowing just a bit as he scanned him over again. The damage he’d received hadn’t of been self inflicted, nor could it have been from an accident. “Did they do that to you?” He didn’t have to point, a gentle nod of his head, eyebrows bouncing as his words inflicted what he’d meant. “If I can promise your safety, would you agree to come with me? Just for a little while.”
“Connor, can we get a move on here?” Hank shouted from the yard. “If he’s not running, just bag him and tag him and we’ll get to interrogating.” Connor didn’t move for a second, head turned as he listened. He gave the android a light raise of a finger as a way to say just a moment.
He felt that maybe this deviant knew something. He’d written RA9 all over the walls like the deviant at Ortiz’s; it would be a shame to chase him off now. A shame to lose him. Turning he made his way for the door, stepping out onto the porch. Motioning Hank over, he spoke but kept his voice low. “We’ll be staying here.”
“What? Why?” Hank spat, looking at him incredulously.
“This deviant could give us answers into RA9 if not to the whereabouts of the AX400. We won’t figure any of it out if it becomes too stressed out.” He explained.
“Yeah? And what if he knows jack shit?” The lieutenant replied, voice just as quiet.
“Then we send him in to be deactivated. He could still be dangerous.” Connor finalized, Hank grimacing a little at that.
“So you want us to go away while you have a pow wow with something you’re gonna destroy later.” Hank crossed his arms, chewing on the words like a bitter fruits. Hank was a lot of things, ruthless was not one of them. Giving the android a nod, the lieutenant turned around and signalled the officers to move out and leave the rest of the mission to the android sent by CyberLife.
Turning around, Connor went back inside.
