Staring into the seemingly endless void of the massive hole stretched before her had soon been deemed a bad idea when Rin’s eyesight began to blur after an extended amount of time and then betray her when dark shadows began to take on the form of possible creatures instead of the shapeless masses they’d been before. Startled by the unexpected shift, she had immediately stumbled backwards-- desperate to put as much distance between herself and the hole as possible-- and had been far too shaken up to stray too far, afraid of what could possibly be awaiting her from this point forward. Indecisive as she could be, there was no second guessing when it came to venturing off into the unknown by herself when she had only just finally gotten away from that stupid city in what felt like just a mere handful of hours before.
In fact, she likely would have remained rooted to the exact same spot all night had her sensitive hearing not picked up on the faint sound of footsteps as they slowly drew closer and the blonde narrowed her eyes as she awaited for the source of the noise to reveal itself. And reveal itself it did in the form of a person-- some strange girl-- who would have stood out like a sore thumb anywhere much less as she did in the desolate space that surrounded them. However, regardless of the other’s brooding appearance the blonde practically let out a sob of relief. Not because she wasn’t alone anymore, though. Instead, the girl would be used for something much more useful to Rin: somebody to pin her underlying emotions on so that she could play the role of the ‘hero’.
Doing her best to swallow down her fears and uncertainties, the android sprung forward, only stopping short mere inches from the other.
“Hey! I didn’t think there was anyone else around here! You don’t know how happy I am to see you.” There was no chance for the other to respond as Rin continued her babbling.
“You must have been so scared to be roaming around here all by yourself! You don’t have to worry anymore, though. I’ll get you back to wherever you need to be all on my own.” A pretty big proclamation from someone who had been freaking out a mere few minutes before.
