I drew this last year, late one night after some stream-of-consciousness writing. Animal allegories! Watership Down. Homeward Bound. The Animals of Farthing Wood. 101 Dalmatians. 1984. Us humans, eh. Gazing around, wantonly projecting our flaws and fantasies and fears on to animals in books, cartoons, onesies and turns of phrase. Wired rabbit. Stressed kitten. Strong as a bull. Meek as a lamb. Quiet as a door mouse.
