Hurting Winchesters the Meg Masters way, ft. Crowley
Okay but can we also discuss how FREAKING SIMILAR Crowley's murders, threats and ultimatum regarding the Demon Tablet in last night's episode are to Meg's murders, threats and ultimatum regarding the Colt in season 1?
Specifically, 1.21, where Meg tells the Winchesters:
"So this is the thing. We're going to keep doing what we're doing. And your friends, anyone who has ever helped you, gave you shelter, anyone you ever loved. They'll all die unless you give us that gun."
I don't know if this was intentional or not but it's something interesting I picked up on. I have to admit, it's especially interesting in light of the fact that Crowley was clearly reading the Carver Edlund books and, in fact, had them strewn all over his desk when he delivered his supervillain speech.
It almost seems as if 8.22 is a reflection of 1.21. Both episodes are the one directly before the season finale and both deal with a much-wanted object that has some kind of power over the creatures of Hell.
So did Crowley really come up with his actions on his own or did he find inspiration in Meg's behavior after reading the "Supernatural" books?
And, if we are doing a season 1 reflection, then lets remember that it was Azazel, not Meg, who was really calling the shots. Does this mean there's another player above Crowley that we haven't met? Or maybe we have? Abbadon perhaps?
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into one little parallel.
