THE TORCH IS LIT! 🔥 After weathering a 95-day journey on Brazilian soil (accompanied by a dream team of Victoria's Secret Guardian Angels!), the blazing symbol of SPIRIT, KNOWLEDGE, and LIFE arrived at the #2016SummerOlympics in Rio! Despite the tumultuous preparation and comparatively low budget, Friday night's opening ceremony reminded the world that that nobody celebrates LIFE better than Brazilians! 🎉 Not only did the 4-hour festivity offer a glorious celebration of Brazilian culture, it also warmed our hearts ❤️ with the welcoming of the #RefugeeOlympicTeam during the #ParadeofNations! This is a true testament to the Olympics’ original ethos of “building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practiced without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of FRIENDSHIP, SOLIDARITY and FAIR PLAY.” In a time of chaos, this is the exact dose of unity and love that we are all craving.
